Regional Transportation Awards

ORLANDO, Fla. (October 20, 2006) – Ascenda Inc., an Orlando-based technology company and a client of the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator, has received a nomination for the Regional Transportation Awards.

Presented each year by the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX), Metro Orlando Economic Commission, Metroplan Orlando and the Orlando Business Journal, the Regional Leadership Awards honor outstanding achievements and recognizes significant contributions made by central Florida businesses and individuals who provide transportation benefits to employees or residents. Award categories are designed to recognize excellence in performance, leadership, innovation and teamwork.

Ascenda was nominated for the Innovation Award for high tech interactive kiosks developed for LYNX Transportation and the Orlando Expressway Authority.

Ascenda has also recently contracted with Universal Studios Orlando and has also worked with the Orange County History Center to Web-based kiosk systems and software.
